WHITE WATCH - A BAND OF BROTHERS

A University project, collaborating with the 'London Rd' project and The Greater Manchester Fire Service. My role was to respond creatively and imaginatively to the archives available by exploring concepts such as home, work, community, and comradery.

During the project I investigated modern day firefighting by contacting my local fire station to conduct interviews with some of the firefighters and take photographs around the station exposing the sense of family and work life in relation to the archive material.

I would like to thank White Watch at Ashton-Under-Lyne Fire Station for allowing me to visit and take images. A special thanks to the firefighters who sat for interviews with me.
